About Us:

The 2010-2011 chorus season will be more exciting then ever!!

The chorus was founded by Jared Rosenblum in 2007. In its inaugural year the chorus had 45 singers and this year has grown to almost 100. 2010-2011 has been extremely exciting for the youth chorus. The chorus performed an original composition written by Francisco J. Núñez, the founder and artistic director of the Young People's Chorus of New York City at the Gift of Sharing at Lord & Taylor. The chorus loves to support local charities and has recently performed at the Autism Speaks Walk and on April 30 will be performing at fundraiser to raise money for Japan, singing with Dream Theater's Jordan Rudess. The chorus also provides the opportunity to perform with current and past Broadway stars. At Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway the chorus sang with Broadway stars Brad Little, Carter Calvert, William Michals, Rita Harvey, Shayna Steele and John Patrick. The chorus also performed twice at Radio City Music Hall, opening for the Christmas Spectacular and at Madison Square Garden before a Harlem Globetrotters game as well as a NY Knicks game. The chorus has been invited back to sing at these exciting events in 2011-2012 as well! Registration for 2011-2012 will begin soon.

Our chorus sings songs of many different styles including songs from GLEE, the Beatles, Broadway shows, pop music, choral arrangements, and much more!

The Lower Hudson Valley Youth Chorus scored the chance to kick off last night's game by singing the National Anthem as a group. Conductor Jared Rosenblum said that his group's strategy on the court last night was probably the same as the Knicks: teamwork. "I think it's an unbelievable thing to have kids that have experience sitting next to kids that are just starting," Rosenblum said of his group that ranges in age from 6 to 16 years old. "They learn from each other, and work together."
